DRL Relay Harness Description
DRL Relay Harness comes with one DRL Capacitor combined with an accessory relay wiring harness to correctly modify the DRL signal for use with an aftermarket HID system. Use this system when your Low beams also act as your DRL(i.e. Late model Toyota Corolla, Mitsubishi Lancers, and various Canadian spec vehicles).

 

Why do I need a DRL Relay Harness?
Are you trying to upgrade your headlights to HID on system that uses DRL? If so, you will need a DRL bypass harness to prevent the HID system from flickering after installation. This Harness is only necessary when the DRL system operates on the low beams, and you are trying to install HIDs on the low beams. DRLs due to their power output during the day operate at 50% power. HIDs being a digital system will only work when at full power meaning, the HIDs will attempt to turn on at a regular interval at 50% power, with never enough to actually stay on. This is commonly referred to as flickering/cycling. The DRL Harness uses a series of capacitors and a relay, to charge the 50% power signal, and send a modified constant signal to an automotive relay, which in turn provides power directly from the battery for the HIDs to use.

 

What are Daytime Running lights?
Daytime running lights come in a variety of types but their application is always the same. DRLs Provide vehicles with forward facing lights during the day to alert oncoming traffic of their presence in dusk and low light situations where full power headlight usage may not be necessary. Most vehicles combine their daytime running light system with the high beam light of their vehicle, and send half the regular amount of power to create a dim amber colored light. Some countries by law (i.e. Canada) requires the use of DRLs on every vehicle manufactured and thus, many car manufacturers have made it a standard feature on all production models whether they deem it necessary or not.

We stand by our products, which is why we offer a 1 year hassle-free replacement warranty on all of our Standard Kits and bulbs, and 3 years on our Premium CANBus Ballasts. We take pride in the products and service we provide. If you are not 100% satisfied with our products or our service in the first 30 days, we will refund 100% of your purchase price*.

Warranty ballast DO need to be shipped back to XenonSupply after receiving a replacement, a return label may be provided for the ballast depending on the cause of damage.  Once a replacement item has been received and installed, the customer must return the defective ballast to XenonSupply.

Warranty bulbs do not need to be shipped back to XenonSupply prior to receiving a replacement.  Once a replacement item has been received and installed, the customer must provide a photo of the defective items with the wires cut as proof.  Photos must be submitted to help@xenonsupply.com either as an attachment, or a viewable link.

Additionally, all warranties cover only ONE replacement of the original products purchased and are non-transferable. Our warranty does not cover replacement of replacements. Our products are rated to last well beyond 3 years, and in rare cases where a customer's car is prematurely shortening the lifespan of our products either due to vehicle electrical issues or customer misuse, including but not limited to improper mounting of ballasts, auto collision/accidents, damage by customer, improper installation with daytime running lights (DRLs), installation on high beams, etc., it will void our replacement warranty.

*Note that original shipping costs are non-refundable, and if the order qualified for free shipping, a flat $10.00 shipping and handling fee will be deducted.

 

XenonSupply Return Policy:

XenonSupply offers a standard 30 day return policy. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your products purchased through XenonSupply, it may be returned within 30 days of the delivery date. The returned items must be in good condition with the original packaging and accessories. Upon inspection of a returned package, any items missing or damaged will have their value deducted from the total refund amount based on the current price of the item. Shipping costs on return items will be paid for by the customer. *Note that original shipping costs are non-refundable, and if the order qualified for free shipping, a flat $10.00 shipping and handling fee will be deducted.

How to process a return:
If you wish to return your item, you must first contact a XenonSupply Support Agent. Once you receive confirmation from a support agent, packages must be sent to the following address:

XenonSupply is not responsible for lost or damaged items. It is recommended the customer save the tracking information for their return package in order to confirm delivery.

Defective, Damaged, or Incorrect Products:
If your product(s) arrive defective, damaged, or simply incorrect, please contact a Technical Support Agent as soon as possible.  We will send you a replacement part and provide you with a prepaid return label to return the defective/incorrect part if necessary.  Product(s) must be returned to us within 30 days. Customer is responsible to notify us with the issue by sending an email to help@xenonsupply.com with the images of the incorrect or damaged product received as a photo attachment.

If requesting a warranty replacement of any item, upon receipt of the warranty replacement, the defective items' wires must be cut and a photo must be submitted to help@xenonsupply.com  to avoid chargebacks to your account.

Manufacturer Warranty covers the merchandise(s) sold only. Any warranty of the installation of the product is the responsibility of the individual, shop, or technician who performed the installation. Our warranty is only valid with proof of sale from XenonSupply.com. A proof of installation is required for all warranty claims for HID Kits. Warranty coverage is non-transferable. This Warranty specifically excludes defects resulting from water damage, fire, chemical spillage, acts of God, misuse, abuse, neglect, alteration, modification, improper installation, operation with un-approved aftermarket headlights and/or DRL (Daytime Running Light) feature, submersion, vehicle crash, dropping or by any other type of impact. Color issues, such as discoloration, matching or ANY modification to the system and components, or operating on a vehicle with a defective component and part, will automatically void the warranty.
